Originally from New Jersey, Erin has lived in Zionsville for 8 years. Erin is married to Dr. Benjamin Brewster, a surgeon at Witham Hospital, and they have built a life together in Boone County. They have 2 dogs, Punky and Daisy.
Erin graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science in 2004. She earned her law degree from the New England School of Law in 2007 and a Master of Laws degree in tax law from Villanova University School of Law in 2008.
Erin has shown her commitment to the county and community by regularly attending county government meetings and previously running for County Council. She has seen what is and isn't working in county government. Business as usual is no longer sufficient for our rapidly growing county. As a tax attorney, Erin brings a unique perspective and understanding to the role of county commissioner and county government as a whole.
Erin is running to bring her knowledge and experience to improve county government. She wants to bring thoughtful planning and a new perspective to the decisions that will have to be made during this time of change and growth in the county. She wants to make sure that Boone County residents are represented by someone who believes in improving services and opportunities for everyone in Boone County.
Boone County is growing exponentially, and our present leadership merely reacts to issues instead of planning for the future. The county council and the commissioners must have a better relationship than what has been on display these last few years. It’s time for those in charge of Boone County to stop playing catch-up and start planning for the future.
The Eli Lilly Project
This will be a huge opportunity for the residents of Boone County, and we all stand to benefit greatly from it. There will be countless decisions to be made between now & when the project is finalized and it is important that it is done right.
